The Prophecy and The Circlet is currently available in paperback and ebook formats. Will it be available in hardcover, too?Currently, the answer is no. Perhaps in the future - or future books in the series!
What inspired you to write The Prophecy and The Circlet? Honestly, the story just came to me, and I wrote the words I felt inspired to write. But there is a little more to the story!
I had purchased a publishing package with Tellwell Publishing for a different manuscript entirely, but decided not to pursue that path. I was going to let the package expire, but wondered if I should fulfill a childhood dream of becoming an author by writing a fictional novel instead. So I did! I combined my favourite elements/themes of Fae, fantasy, romance, history, spirituality/psychic ability, magic, inspiration/self-awareness/personal development, Celtic spirituality, and my love of Scotland (indeed, the entire British Isles and Ireland) into a story. The Prophecy and The Circlet is the result!
Which publisher are you currently signed with? I am not signed with a traditional publisher at the moment. I am working with Tellwell Publishing - an assisted self-publishing company based in Canada with an impressive international network. I am truly honoured to be working with their amazing team of incredibly gifted professionals who have (and still are!) helping to turn my dreams into reality along each step. I am incredibly appreciative of their knowledge, support, services, and professionalism.
Where can I purchase your book? Currently, the paperback version is available/listed with different retailers. For simplicity, here are a few links here where my book can be purchased. It is also available in ebook format.
The Prophecy and The Circlet is Book 1 in The Winds of Tribune Series. How many books do you plan to include in this series? Currently I have plans to write five books in this series (four following this first novel).
BUT shhhh....I also have EXCITING PLANS to be included with this series!!! Stay tuned to find out in the coming months!!!
When is the next book in the series going to the released? Great question - and I don't currently know! I have already started writing it, however it will likely be several months before it's launch. Likely sometime in 2026. Currently my focus is on The Prophecy and The Circlet, which is my first novel and published book. This is all new for me, and I am VERY excited for the future and to discover where Sovereign Queen Eilidh's path will lead me!
Is The Prophecy and The Circlet a standalone book? You make it very clear this is part of The Winds of Tribune Series. Tha, ach chan eil (yes, but no)! It can be considered a standalone book, and each future book could be read as such. However, each story is intended to build upon the previous and lead to the next. Also, the overarching quest plotline is present throughout each story and touches each character with the turn of every page and cover.
What is your writing journey? Well, the answer that question reaches back into my childhood. I forever loved reading stories. I was bullied quite a lot in school, and so reading books - and writing stories - were a natural soothing and inspiring escape for me. To this day, The Chronicles of Narnia is still my favourite series of books! I would write stories for the pure love and enjoyment I found in crafting sentences and stories in my spare time away from school, and whenever the opportunity in English classes was presented.
However, my childhood writing (or at least, my writing style) was not always warmly welcomed or received by my teachers. Sadly, this had - and in a way, still has - a somewhat lasting effect. Ultimately, I stopped writing stories partly as a result. And as time passed, I eventually shifted my focus from reading fictional novels to books centred upon self-help/personal development, spirituality, Celtic spirituality, psychic ability, and the like. I loved (and still love) those genres, and banished fiction books from my bookshelves. For many years. Though The Chronicles of Narnia always stayed. Everything always happens for reasons - in my opinion - even if we don't know what those reasons are at the time. I think this experience helped me to learn to trust myself, even in the wake of others' disapproval, and following my intuition to the best of my ability.
However, writing was always present. As much I tried to ignore its calling and draw, I couldn't entirely exile it from my life. Whether it took the form of college assignments or workplace desktop publishing, its persistence was irritatingly palpable; a constant reminder of my early years of the love, dreaming, and inspiration I revelled in as a child. I knew eventually I would need to return to writing...or at least, I always kind of wondered if I would. And I did!
The Prophecy and The Circlet truly is a story and inspiration for one to follow the dreams and calling of their own heart and soul. I know I say as much in my bio, and I mean every word.
Is it true you offer intuitive readings and energy healing sessions? You mention this in your bio. Yes, absolutely! I first began offering psychic medium readings and tea leaf readings publicly for clients during the summer of 2010. Actually, I first became actively interested in spirituality and psychic ability, mediumship and the like nearly ten years before that time, and began to read for myself and others around 2005. I am also a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher (energy healing) however my focus (and love) between psychic medium and tea leaf readings and energy healing has been offering readings. And yes, I am fully aware that both my writing and psychic medium work involve readings!
Shameless plug here, however if you are interested in learning more about the readings I offer, or scheduling a reading, you are welcome to contact me, or visit my readings website, Sarah-Adamson.com, here! Please note that is currently being updated, so you will likely see changes in that in the upcoming few months. Thank you very much for your interest!
Did your background in psychic ability and spirituality inspire some of what you wrote in The Prophecy and The Circlet? Absolutely. In fact, I used a combination of knowledge gained from personal experiences throughout the story. This is very evident in the scene when Eilidh, the MFC (main female character), experienced a "Sensing" during her journey to Dunabaile, however any mention of the "Sight" or "Visions" in the story are directly inspired from my own experiences. However, no fictional books I ever write are ever intended to be considered "teaching" about these topics. Foremost, these stories are exactly that - fiction.
Are you an expert in Celtic spirituality, folklore and traditions? You seem to love those traditions. I am absolutely not an expert in Celtic/British traditions, and I never pretend to be. There are many professionals in that field of study. I am still very much a novice, however I adore those traditions and traditional knowledge, which are part of my own Scottish heritage. No fictional books I ever write are ever intended to be "teaching" about any of these topics; rather, I use them as inspiration and knowledge that the characters in my stories would know very well, being Fae Scottish royalty and immersed in that knowledge and wisdom, and integrate within their daily lives. I do my best to weave them into the story, however the focus of my stories are the stories.
The Prophecy and The Circlet is based in Scotland. Have you ever visited that country? Yes, so far three times. I dearly love and adore Scotland. As Robert Burns famously said, "my heart's in the highlands." I hold immense love and respect for Scotland, its history, folklore, traditions, culture, and language. Agus, tha; tha Gàidhlig agam! I have also travelled throughout the British Isles and Ireland several times and cannot wait to visit again. My journeys in Scotland helped to inspire (and reference!) scenery and descriptions in this book.
Are you interested in requests for podcasts, interviews, and the like? Yes, absolutely! Thank you for your interest. Please send me a message and we can further discuss.
I'm a social media content creator, media, create fantasy-inspired products, or own a bookstore, and interested in collaboration. Do you have a book backgrounder? How can I get in touch? Firstly, thank you for your interest! Yes, I do have a book backgrounder/media kit, which you can find here. Are you are also welcome to send me a message so we may further discuss a collaboration.
Will you offer an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) for Book Two in The Winds of Tribune Series? Yes, most likely, although I will know nearer to the release date. Since The Prophecy and The Circlet is my debut novel, I simply was not able to embark on the ARC journey for that, first, book. If you have read (or are reading!) The Prophecy and The Circlet and are interested in obtaining an ARC for Book Two to share your thoughts on your social media channels, please contact me to be added to the pre-list! Further discussions can be held nearer to its launch. This is also mentioned on the Bonus Content page (with a few other pieces of bonus content!). Thank you for your interest!
